  • Please wear white to the welcome party on Sunday, May 3rd. For the ladies this may include white dresses, jumpsuits, or white tops and pants. For the guys, think white/linen button ups, collared shirts, khakis, linen suits, etc.

    On the wedding day, the dress code is formal. The bridal party will be wearing black. Please wear long dresses, jumpsuits, suits, dress pants with button ups.

    Please refrain from wearing swimsuits, cover ups, jeans, flip flops, and tennis shoes to the ceremony.

  • We created a Facebook group titled “Doubenmier Destination Wedding.” This is a central hub for our guests to communicate. Everybody can post tips, updates, reminders, and pictures throughout the stay here.

  • We will be picked up by three luxury sprinter vans at 2:30 PM from the resort to Paradise Village Public Pier.

    The boat ride is private with all-inclusive drinks. There will be chips and guac/ceviche served, but we recommend eating before and after the ride.

    The sailing will take place from 3:30-7:30 PM. Water toys, Lilly pads, and snorkeling equipment will be provided.

    Bring your own or borrow a towel from the resort.

    Everything for the yacht day is covered — drinks, transportation, and the experience itself. If you’d like to bring a little cash to tip the crew, they’d really appreciate it, but absolutely not required.

  • We’ll be posting a packing list to use as an example in the Facebook group. Don’t forget your passports! The beach is rocky, so it is recommended to bring water shoes if you plan on getting in the ocean. Consider motion sickness meds and sunscreen for the yacht day.

    There is a safe in every room, but otherwise leave valuables at home. There are hair dryers in the room and beach towels provided. Preferred club rooms include robes and slippers.

  • Technically speaking, no. After reading reviews in other Facebook groups, it seems pretty easy and at least worth a shot at going to the adults-only pools and restaurants on Secrets side if you don’t have kids with you!

  • If you book a 60-90 minute facial or 50-80 minute massage BEFORE arrival, you can get 30% off with coupon in the Facebook group!

  • When your flights are booked, please send us an email with your flight information (to doubenmier2026@gmail.com). The travel agent will have everybody’s arrival times and ensure an AMSTAR representative will be waiting for you for pickup. Unless you upgraded, it will be a shared, nonstop ride to resort.

  • There is free WiFi at the resort. You can clarify with your phone carrier regarding international texting and calling from Mexico when using data.

  • It is highly recommended that you download the “Hyatt Inclusive Collection” app and choose Secrets Bahia Mita or Dreams Bahia Mita. Here, you will find a list of all the restaurants and bars, a map of the resort, schedules with daily activities and entertainment, housekeeping/rooms service, etc.

    There are many pools, a theater, pickleball courts, teen clubs, a speakeasy, cabanas to rent, spa experiences, and many more.

  • While tips were included in your booking and not required, it is encouraged to show your appreciation in cash tips for housekeeping, your butler, waitstaff, yacht crew, drivers, etc. when you feel inclined.

    The currency in Puerto Vallarta is pesos.

  • Expect it to be pretty warm and humid, with breezy evenings. The average temps for early May are 78-80 with highs around 86-90 and lows around 65-70.

    While rain is unlikely in early May, rain in Puerto Vallarta = quick tropical showers, not all-day misery.

    The ocean will be warm and perfect for swimming!
